Flashbulbz is a community where you can live the life of a star whether it be a musician, an actor, director, designer or author. Want to play someone a little under the radar? We'll also welcome agents, personal assistants and even any non-celebrity family members. Afterall, not everyone can be a top notch celebrity. They all need someone to keep them a little grounded. And now for:
We here at Flashbulbz aren't going to make you run through rule after rule er because we figure that you all have probably been playing long enough to know these things inside and out. Instead we're just going to give you a quick run down of what we expect. So if you're interested, read on!
IC vs OOC: We all know that there is a very thin line that some people like to blur, but we ask that you keep things like that in check. If you're having problems with another player (like I am sure that you all have at one point or another) feel free to dropbox the mods and let us know. Sure, everyone has a bad day. We'd just like to keep this a fun enviroment for everyone!
Credits: Please keep it realistic people. Most actors are not going to film more than three movies within a year and even less if they are on a television show. For musicians, if you have Andrew McMahon's voice but Taking Back Sunday's lyrics it means you get the claims of both acts (i.e: Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin and Taking Back Sunday).
Storylines: We're not going to keep an eye on indivual storylines, but please, once again try to keep it realistic. Pregnancies take a full nine months, marriages can be done quickly but divorces are not. If you want to play out something a bit heavier (like suicide attempts, rape or anything or the sort) we ask not only to clear it with us first, but also with your SL partner, please.
Activity: Upon acceptance we would like to see an introduction within a week. After that we will be doing monthly activity checks. Throw up a thread or a journal entry if you like. We just want to see you out there and interacting.
MISC: All journal and AIM names must be related to your character. From time to time we'll be doing random things such as secrets posts, awards and annonymous posts. But, most importanly just have fun!
